If you were told that it is possible to do birdwatching, wine tasting and cork harvesting on the same tour, would you believe it? Of course you would, provided they were talking about the “Companhia das Lezírias Grand Tour”! This adventure begins with a stop to observe flamingos that paint the banks of the Tagus River pink, goes on to Adega de Catapereiro for a memorable wine tasting and arrives at the cork oak forest where, besides all the biodiversity that can be contemplated, it is possible (if it is the right time of year) to see how cork is obtained from the trees. There will be time to have lunch next to the Companhia das Lezírias Stud Farm and then head off to the Tagus estuary in search of more birds, passing through rice paddies, pastures with cattle and Lusitanian horses.
